Garni & Geghard

Garni and Geghard are among Armenia's most iconic and historical sites.
Garni Temple, built in the 1st century, is the only surviving pagan temple in Armenia. It stands on the edge of the stunning Azat Gorge, famous for its “Symphony of Stones.”

Nearby is Geghard Monastery, a 4th-century complex partly carved into the rock. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its spiritual atmosphere and intricate medieval architecture.
