Vanadzor

Vanadzor is Armenia’s third-largest city and the capital of Lori Province. Nestled in a scenic valley surrounded by green hills and pine forests, it’s known for its mild climate, sanatoriums, artistic spirit, and remnants of Soviet architecture.

Vanadzor is the birthplace of several famous Armenian composers and painters, and a regional center for essential oil production. It’s a great starting point for exploring the Debed Canyon and UNESCO-listed monasteries of Haghpat and Sanahin nearby.
